Cause of Pick’s Disease :
Pick’s disease is one of the genetic disorder which can be found in the families. The genetic reason for this disease is the degeneration of the frontotemporal lobes of the brain. The specific cause of the Pick’s disease has not been
found yet. However, it has been found that almost 50% of the patients have the family history of dementia.
Most of the time, this disease is confused with Alzheimer Disease, however, both are very different. Another theory suggests that this disease is caused by the excess generation of the protein which is normally found in the nerve cells
called as B-Amyloid protein. This lead to an attack of immune cells causing degeneration of the nerve cells.
Treatment of Pick’s Disease :
As there is no permanent cure for this disease has been found so far, still, the relief of the symptoms is possible. The medication used for Alzheimer can also be used for the management of Pick’s Disease. The drug known as Acetylcholine
can also be used which can improve the brain function and memory of the patient.
SSRIs (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors) are also used in the management of Pick’s Disease which is the antidepressant drugs.
Anti-Inflammatory drugs can also be used to help with the inflammation involving the brain damage. Anti-Psychotic drugs can be used to relieve symptoms like mood swings, emotional flare-ups, anger, and anxiety.
Stem Cell Treatment for Pick’s Disease :
Experimentally, Pick’s disease has been treated successfully with Stem Cell Therapy. Stem cells replace the Sphingomyelinase deficient cells leading to the cure of Pick’s disease. The patient can observe improvement in their condition
after the stem cell administration leading to the overall health improvement.
Stem Cell therapy has been proved as the promising treatment modality for Pick’s disease delivering excellent results.
MedAcess has developed the Stem Cell Therapy program to treat various conditions. During our stem cell treatment, each patient receives 200 – 300 million stem cells. The quantity of the stem cells not only covers daily losses but exceeds
them a million times. Thus, the source of the stem cells which is practically lost for the last 15 – 20 years, is recovered and restored. After our stem cell infusion, various organs get rejuvenated and they get renewed because
the new and active stem cells completely replace the old and damaged ones.
